Best crypto for casino deposits: BTC vs USDT vs LTC vs SOL and more

Which coin to use at a crypto casino, compared on fees, speed and price risk. Plus the network mistake that loses people money.

You can usually deposit a dozen coins at a crypto casino. They aren't equal. The coin you pick decides how much you pay in fees, how long you wait, and whether your balance moves while you play.

The short version

  • For most players: USDT on Tron (TRC20) or another cheap network. Stable price, low fees, fast.
  • If you already hold it: Bitcoin. Accepted everywhere, but slower and pricier to move.
  • For frequent small deposits: Litecoin, Solana or Tron. Cheap and quick.
  • Avoid sending ERC20 tokens for small amounts unless fees are low that day.

Compared

Coin Typical confirmation Typical network fee Price moves while you play?
Bitcoin (BTC) 10–60 min Low to high, depends on demand Yes
Ethereum (ETH) 1–5 min Low to high (gas) Yes
Tether (USDT) on Tron about 1 min Low No (pegged to USD)
USDT on Ethereum (ERC20) 1–5 min Often high No
Litecoin (LTC) 3–30 min Very low Yes
Solana (SOL) seconds Very low Yes
Dogecoin (DOGE) 5–20 min Low Yes

Fees and times change with network traffic, so treat these as typical ranges, not quotes.

Stablecoins: why many players prefer them

If you deposit 0.01 BTC and Bitcoin drops 10% while you play, your balance drops 10% too, even if you didn't lose a single bet. USDT and USDC are pegged to the US dollar, so $100 stays $100. That makes it much easier to know whether you're actually up or down, and to stick to a budget.

The network mistake that loses money

Many coins exist on more than one network. USDT, for example, runs on Tron (TRC20), Ethereum (ERC20), BNB Chain (BEP20) and others. The address formats can look similar.

Always send on exactly the network the casino's cashier shows. If you send USDT on BEP20 to a TRC20 address, the casino may never see it. Some support teams can recover it, often for a fee; sometimes the coins are lost.

A safe routine:

  1. Choose the coin and the network in the casino cashier.
  2. Copy the address (don't type it).
  3. In your wallet, pick the same network.
  4. Send a small test amount first if it's your first deposit.

Withdrawals: plan the round trip

Pick a coin you can also withdraw cheaply. Some casinos only pay out in certain coins, or charge a withdrawal fee in a coin with expensive transfers. Check the withdrawal options before you deposit, not after you win.

Exchanges and gambling transfers

Many exchanges flag or block deposits to and withdrawals from gambling sites. Use a wallet you control between the exchange and the casino. Our guide on crypto wallets for casino players explains the options.
