9 signs a crypto casino may not pay you

Most problems show up before you deposit, if you know where to look. Nine warning signs, and what to do if a casino already owes you.

Most players find out a casino won't pay on the worst possible day: the day they win. The good news is that many warning signs are visible before you deposit.

Before you deposit

  1. No licence details you can check. A real licence has an issuer and a number you can look up. A logo alone proves nothing.
  2. No company name or address in the terms or footer.
  3. Vague terms that let them void winnings “at their discretion”. Read the sections on bonuses, closed accounts and withdrawals.
  4. Bonuses that look too good, like huge percentages with unclear wagering, tiny max-bet rules or low cashout caps.
  5. A pattern of unresolved complaints. One complaint means little. Many with no reply means a lot. Check our complaints and shame list.

After you start playing

  1. Withdrawal limits that only appear when you withdraw, like a low daily cap or a sudden fee.
  2. Repeated document requests after you've already passed verification.
  3. Support that stalls, with copy-paste answers and no date.
  4. Pressure to keep playing instead of withdrawing, or offers to “reverse” a withdrawal for a bonus.

What to do if a casino owes you

  • Get the reason in writing from support, with a date.
  • Keep records: screenshots, transaction IDs, chat logs.
  • Don't play the balance down while you wait; it can weaken your case.
  • File a complaint on WhatOBet. We check the facts, the casino gets 7 days to reply in public, and unresolved cases count toward our shame list.

How we use these signs

When players report problems, we compare them with what the casino claims. Casinos whose claims don't match what players report, or that stop paying, go on our shame list. Once every complaint is resolved, they can get off it.
